We are taking a little break…

16th July 2024

We wanted to share some news with you today. After much consideration, we’ve decided to put Dramakarma on hold for a little while. The last few months have brought some unexpected challenges our way, and we realised that we need to take a bit of a break to recharge and refocus.

When we first set up Dramakarma, our mission was to create a space for young people to express their talents and emotions, especially during the tough times of the pandemic. We wanted to offer something unique, something that could bring joy and support to their well-being. And what an incredible journey it has been! We’ve had so much fun, with countless moments of laughter and inspiration thanks to your amazing children.

Watching the children in our groups grow in confidence and learn to support one another has been truly heart-warming. From our performances for parents to the various holiday clubs, each experience has been a memorable adventure. We’ve organised one and two-day events at the Rewilded Quarry with Super Roots, participated in the Shakespeare for Schools festival, and written and created memorable shows like Mole Valley, The Last Matron at Rook Lane and 2000 Days at Rook Lane, and The Merlin. Most recently, we even had the privilege of coaching young storytellers for Refugee Week.

We plan to take this time to carefully evaluate and decide on the best future direction for Dramakarma. Our goal is to return refreshed and better than ever with a relaunch in January 2025.
